I dont think he has more than 3 LBs and 2 of them hasnt played in over a month.

 

Kind of have to wonder how good of a coach Thigpen is. The linebackers he's coached that have been good were good when they set foot on campus. No one has developed. Tons of talent recruited and almost none of it has panned out.

 

Good recruiter, average coach.

 

Bates and Berry should be balling out by now, IMO.

 

Do we have 3 scholarship LBs healthy?

 

Bynum, Bryant, Bates, and Berry, I think. Also Bituli. Also Brown, Boyd, Baker, Bennett, and Boles.

 

Bears. Beets. Battle Star Galactica.

 

No wonder there's no depth there. Seems pointless to limit your linebacker recruiting to B surnames.

Berry played well against Alabama, but had a few mistakes too. Bates appears to be a bust

 

Bates seems like he's content with his school being paid for and enjoying the college life

 

Both have been victims of this failed staff.

 

I don't think Bates has. He's torn up his shoulder and has just kind of hung around.

I don't think a shoulder injury is any kind of career ender these days. For whatever reason he hasn't fulfilled his promise. I thought he was the real deal coming out of HS.

 

He might be a vagina. Busts do happen, even for the greatest coaches in the world

Gah. There is a guy over there now comparing Butch to Harbaugh. Harbaugh lost 3 games last season and look how great he's doing this year. Butch currently has three losses, so...

How can someone like that exist?

 

It is called cognitive dissonance and is a defense mechanism. He probably cannot help if nor is aware it is happening.

Or he is a moron with no sense of logic and pattern recognition.

 

I'm going with the second option.
