Read the books, haven't seen the series.

 

Best thing on TV; great books.

Either or both are recommended.

 

Watch them, you won't be disappointed. Season 1 was very faithful to the book. Season 2 took some liberties for cost reasons (legit) and TV viewing (not legit IMO) but still great.

Seasons 3 and 4 are devoted to Book 3

 

i've watched the series, heard the books are a tough read at times.

 

I watched Season 1 then started reading Book 1 during Season 2. The only thing difficult about them is the number of people to keep up with but if that didn't bother you during the show then it won't in the books. I found them to be quite complementary and rewatched Season 1 after reading book 1 - it made the show better.

 

The Red Wedding scene this upcoming season should be epic.

 

Reactions should be entertaining.

I was quite pissed about that... Hope Martin finishes the series before he croaks, he isn't a paragon of health.

I think it will probably be season 4 as it happened in the second half of book 3.

 

The man goes to a bunch of small fan club parties. From what I read he drinks and parties his ass off. I hope to god he doesn't die before he wraps this up. In some ways the plot feels like it's gotten too big for him and he might have to write another book (or 2 at his rate) to tie everything up.

 

I would bet on him dying first - dang will that suck.

 

Would be the second time in a row I get into a fantasy series and the author dies before finishing. Fortunately Brandon Sanderson did a passable job with The Wheel of Time

 

Season 3 finale imo.

 

Based on the way HBO changes things (understandably) based on character popularity, there's a small part of me that wonders if it will be anything remotely close to the way it happened in the book.

 

My body is ready.

 

Sounds like something I might like. I need to find it online and get caught up

 

Season three has the potential to be the best TV ever.

 

20 episodes in a little over a day is doable.
