Butch is saying that Tennessee can't be compared to other established national programs right now. It's not that their grass is greener...its just that they've had much longer to grow their grass. We're still watering seed at this point. Need another decade, minimum...cool it with all the championship talk.

They looked well coached against Kentucky, so that means the streak continues against us and we'll have wasted out talent advantage the last couple of years.

 

I think Kirkland being out for an extended period of time is gonna kill us, especially if they insist on playing Jumper. Were he able to play, I'd feel a lot better about our chances, but I've moved from being slightly optimistic (about UF game) before the season started to now thinking UF will have to help us out like Va Tech did to win the game.

 

Florida D is going to kill that offense. Their OL has improved and they have a serviceable QB now. I hate Florida but this game will not end well for Tennessee.

 

I don't think there is any way I can watch this game. It's just too painful.

I felt more confident about the UF game last year and the year before.

 

Me too, especially last year. I see this year being a 10+ point loss.

 

This is a UK team that gave up 35 unanswered points in a home loss to Southern Miss. I think we need to tap the brakes on the Florida praise.

So I guess there is a majority of our fanbase now that is perfectly happy with NEVER beating Florida or Bama.

Are you saying this in reference to some recent event or new information?

 

Just new in that I've been posting at the old site a little now that season has started. The attitude there is that we're back and that 9-3 is successful. (And that 8-4 is successful next year.) Haven't pushed on the acceptable 3 losses. This year is the high water mark and people are fine with it.
