Geothermal makes sense in Iceland. Funny that Iceland is green and has large amounts of volcanic heat energy, and Greenland is covered by ice & snow a good portion of the time. Life loves it some irony.
Yeah I remember learning that when watching Mighty Ducks. That Coach Bombay was a stand-up guy. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
What's the difference between onshore and off shore wind? Only thing I can recall was Senator Kennedy killing a project because he didn't want to see it from his mansion. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
What you get is pretty different, though. onshore wind is more episodic within a given location. Offshore wind is much more constant, and tends to peak right at the same time as peak demand. And I don't know that 10 MW onshore turbines is a thing, but they are offshore. It's a better annual output but at a higher investment cost. Banks in Europe love them as long-term investments.
I took the question as asking why offshore wind doesn't have the same competitive LCOE that onshore does, but I might have been reading too much into the question. Good adds, though, on the benefits.
Just doing my best election anti-Tenny.... There's a block feature readily available to everyone because I'm going to call out what I feel needs called out. I won't get personal (with a few exceptions...wink wink), but policy is fair game. I'm not trying to trigger any individual here or elsewhere.
I fully support a complete halt to all Melungeons entering this country (and internment for those already here) until we can figure out what the hell is going on.
