Hogan overcame physical problems. Tiger is overcoming mental issues he created. It's apples and kiwi.
I think for various reasons. Brings back memories of dominance. Many people with health issues or surgeries at his age struggle daily things, while hes playing at that level. Hes also matured over the years. And, in a world where people tear others down as soon as they see an opportunity, there is this rebuild. Tiger has been thru it. Many of us have our own past or issues and would be in bigger trouble in our own lives with cameras 24/7. All that stuff made Tiger human to many.
He’s different now, than he was from when he was dominating the game. He is emotional, thankful, raw almost. He much more human than he used to be. He’s not without fault of course, but I think those are the things that matter.
I'm not sure any of that is true, but it doesn't really matter. I just find it interesting that people have to find a team to join, which team it is, and the mental gymnastics they will go through to justify that decision. I'm not immune to the phenomenon, either, but when other people do it, it's entertaining.
The afternoon is NOT going well so far, though. Need Spieth/Thomas and Watson/Simpson to prevail otherwise it's bad.
Good thing they dominated this morning because they are shitting down all 16 of their legs right now. I’d have taken 4-4 after the first day, yesterday. Maybe, maybe even down 5-3, but not like this.
Also, why in the absolute [uck fay] is Reed not playing this afternoon? Holy shit what a terrible decision.
I guess the sliver lining is getting completely blasted and only being 2 back? Does Phil play at all tomorrow?
Tight with muni slow greens. Awful golf to watch and we don’t have anyone worth a turd on slow greens.
