And that was against a statistically great defense. I'm not saying that Auburn's defense is actually great, but that level of play is good enough to beat anyone left after Bama.
A lot of that is our WRs having a wonderful game. But you don’t have that kind of stat line against a good defense without some serious QB talent. He stood in against the pressure and consistently made both good decisions and good throws. I haven’t been as down on JG as some, and while he’s still probably sub-Peyton with his legs (false advertising there), his pocket play has improved leaps and bounds
As long as hes not giving the ball to the other team he is just good enough for us to be effective. He proved that today. Doesnt take a lot brains to throw the ball up to your best players and let them make a play.
Pocket presence isn’t very good. Feet are worse. Can’t see more than one receiver. But tough as nails and can hang in there long enough to hit the big throw. Has to be worth something.
Their dline is NFL quality. Tennessee's beleaguered oline gave him enough time when it was obviously a passing down. That is good
I think that looked a lot worse than it really was. if there weren't a pile of bodies behind him to land on, it would have been worse.
