Hart retiring

Bozollio laid it out earlier this week on his blog, maybe Thursday.

 

He knows how to work the big money people instead of being a stubborn piece of shit.

 

He's also got several winning programs down at UTC from coaches he hired

 

Tennessee graduate

Knows the boosters and how to work them

Universally liked

Great success in every job he's held since going on the payroll

Wisely spent money at UTC, hired coaches that won big time in men's and women's basketball

 

UTC's athletics are having the most success as a whole group in its history

 

He's a Tennessee man without being myopically so.

 

So if Blackburn retired tomorrow and there was a ceremony honoring him, what would they mention as his top accomplishments?

I'm not questioning your all's judgment, just don't know anything about him.

 

-Built UTC athletic program into something very impressive
-Fundraises like a boss (has respect of big $ folks)
-was an important cog in the AD during the run starting in 93

 

Took notes that kept sanctions away post-Kiffin.

 

He saved our bacon during that whole fiasco.

 

I don't think it can be understated what he's done with the football program at UTC. UTC went from perhaps the worst program in the conference to the best while Blackburn has been there. Even though Georgia Southern and App St. left, they still had to make the leap over half the conference, and UTC has never been good at football.

 

So does this mean we fire Butch at seasons end and hire Gruden?
