Since people actually seem interested, I'll try to share some opinions of mine in the next few days when I have a bit more time and I'm not as tired.
You've discovered the problem. It's run by commies here. Down with US commie takeover of soccer! I have no idea really. My 9 year old daughter plays in a church-sponsored league. I go. I console her after each defeat but have no clue what is going on really. I know this, she was the smallest in her age group last year and was scared of the other players, the ball, and pretty much everything else. That is my full experience with soccer other than occasionally watching an English Premier League match every now and again. Still have no clue after watching.
I am an old offensive lineman (center) and inside linebacker. Too much freakin running involved in soccer for me.
