Just think about the wrench it puts in down and distance tendencies along with preparing a goal line defensive game plan.
as in, JG tends to stare at his receiver rather than scan the field, and it appears Chryst tends to not, as he obviously can see the field from above
JG took to heart to stand in the pocket. Nobody has taught him how to slide or dip a shoulder to avoid a rush. Or maybe they have but he just has no feel.
That’s all post-snap stuff. I’m still mostly concerned about his many limitations, errors and inabilities before the snap.
Hes checked into many bad plays and as Pruitt mentioned the other day, a qb has to see things and get out of some bad ones. He hasn't. He has also missed many blitzes starting straight at him. I cant believe a safety hasnt come up on the slant to jennings and taken it the other way. Our little QB looks left knowing hes got the slant right. Wr has 3 steps before making his cut for a slant. Thats plenty of time to pull the safety off a little. The window doesnt change so you dont have to stare at it.
Mostly is fair, but his lack of pocket presence is a problem as well. How many times have we seen him hold onto the ball too long and take a sack rather than just throw it away?
