At least i think so. Please correct me if I'm mistaken. Midway through 3rd quarter we are down 21-3, 2nd and 2 at uf 37. Great Hurd run is called back for block in the back on josh smith. I have watched several times, the smith block was barely past the line of scrimmage. 10 yards should have made it 2nd and 9. Instead, they made it 2nd and 3. I was very confused why we only needed 3. We go on to score a few plays later. Did i miss something or did they completely botch the spot there on the penalty?
Agreed. It was minor and hard to notice unless you were really paying attention. At the time it didn't seem like a big deal but ended up being a pivotal point in the game.
I saw an empty Jack Daniels pint bottle sail past Al Matthews' head after that. Pissed me off. Wished it would have split his skull.
I thought we were across the line of scrimmage at least 3 times in the 2nd half at the snap, too, with no flag during Fla's string of 3 and outs. In all, I don't feel bad for getting a little home cooking. We've certainly gotten the short end of that stick in Gainesville over the years.
