He's bragging on McKenzie and Phillips. He claims Phillips would start on a lot of teams. McKenzie may take a game or two to adjust, but he's insanely strong and has amazing technique. He also spoke on McKenzie breaking through the oline and running full speed towards media members, said it was a scary site. Dormady looks really good and is a surprisingly good athlete. Linebackers are athletic but all are young with the exception of JRM and Bynum. Bryant is a big hitter.
AKA Hyams didn't see anything about Dormady at camps and is surprised a white guy can run. Dormady ran a 4.15s shuttle which is legit
I think he has the tools, physically and mentally, to be a better overall QB than Dobbs. The next few years should be interesting, for sure. Certainty on the lines and under center is an advantage we haven't had in far too long.
We've got a couple of backups who've never taken a college snap and a starter, while talented, hasn't really faced the meat of the schedule. And I feel 10,000% better about the quawtahback* position than i have in a long time. *Since Hyams is in the title of this thread, might as well
I don't think we can afford to red shirt him. He needs reps in the 3rd/4th quarter of each of the first two games. Meaningful reps.
I sure hope we're giving him reps in the 3rd/4th quarter of the Oklahoma game because we're so far ahead.
honestly, I think that was a function of the staff seeing a pretty low ceiling the last couple years. I don't think that happens in years where we actually have a chance to win something meaningful.
This is how I see it. They were playing the long game (to a lot of people's anger), but they had a plan. That plan is outdated and I don't think Dormandy rides the pine this year.
You really don't want me to post some of the other gifs I have from your camera. You give "data manipulation" a whole new angle, my friend.
