about the whole coaching hire thing. Then I turned on the MNF pregame coverage saw Gruden, and had to change the channel. I think it's gonna take time for these wounds to heal.
I am currently watching Georgetown play Longwood for just that reason. The lanciers are not very good.
I know this is/was not a popular opinion, but I always loved Foster, from his freshman year through to now.
I don't dislike the guy, i'm just torn because I feel like we didn't see the year-round dedication that NFL fans have enjoyed since 2010. Let's be honest, in 2008 he resembled Bob Wickman more than he did a RB at Tennessee.
I made my peace with Foster. I still remember the Penn St. fumble, but have come to grips with it. I root for him in the pros. I just hate how I can't enjoy a simple NFL game due to all the shenanigans.
That's probably true, but I think he also draws a disproportionate amount of blame for an offense that was a disaster all the way around (including not being able to block for shit). I wonder if Clawson had something to do with the offseason stuff or whether he just got complacent, because he was pretty damn good in 2007.
This. Dude was out of shape. Mentally checked out as well. He has a strange take on things as it is. Not watching. Too soon.
I think Cal 2007 was the best he ever played. Even removing the fumbles, he had some really bad habits developed by the end of his junior year. Combining that with being horribly out of shape and you see a RB that was incapable of bailing out a bad OL/QB.
That was a great one. He certainly had some memorable moments the rest of that year too, but I can't remember how consistent they were (the first play of the UK game comes to mind though). It's a shame we lost that Vandy game in 2005, because he was the only one on the field who gave a damn, and he had a pretty great game all by himself. It's also a shame we didn't hire an offensive coach for 2008 who could motivate him and correct some of the mistakes like Houston has obviously done.
Foster, like most players under Fulmer post-1998, became complacent after they realized that no one was going to displace them on the depth chart. Foster's come to Jesus moment was the first day he saw the correlation between working hard and making money.
Let's thanks those two [dadgum] scumbags for making us feel that way. I hope both of them burn in hell.
I can't watch. I am letting Bourdain convince me to spend January in Sao Paulo and eat my weight in black beans, rice and citrus.
