If you were an Offensive Coordinator...

Why wouldn't you just steal Baylor's offense? Just study the funk out of it until you understand it, and then install it.

That's what I'd do. Originality is kool and the gang, but it isn't the end all be all. If somebody's doing it better, steal it. Okay, who wants to start a petition to make KidB the OC?

Secondly, why do they have a seemingly infinite supply of good quarterbacks, and we can't have one? I'd trade three guys off the two-deep for Baylor's backup.

Yeah. Have to get in on guys like Bryce Petty. Oh yeah.

Or you could just hire Sumlin when you had the chance.

If this is sarcasm, it's weirdly used. I'd take that guy in 0.002 seconds.

We had him. That's my point.

I don't think Kiffin handled the Boyd/Petty situations terribly well.

Because we would have Justin Worley running that version of the spread. Not gonna work

  9. That turned out to be a big time mistake.

I guess you missed the part where I was OC.

Which is weird, because it was like the main premise.

He did not, but Boyd had a blown up knee and wasn't going to be able to help immediately. Briles has made a lot of QBs look really good. Petty had to greyshirt at Baylor and it's hard for me to say he would look that good anywhere else.

I think your earlier point has a lot to do with it. Those two guys got to play for perhaps the two most productive OCs in the nation. I don't think they'd have been that special here under Jim Chaney.

At what level? There's a huge difference in what you can run when you can recruit, and what you can run when you're just stuck with the hand you're dealt

Yeah, but they wanted to be at UT. And Petty REALLY wanted to be at UT. Either way, what's done is done. Anyway, kid who can throw a football isn't that hard to find. I don't know why we don't have one. With me at OC, we'd have one, stat.
