Jack Jones Quit the Team (But comes back)

I'll bet somewhere out there on the interwebs there is a forum that enjoys talking Auburn football. Probably have lots of people that provide overly optimistic prognostications, too.

 

If Gus could get through the past two years without that happening it's hard to imagine it happening with this team.

 

I came in this thread to talk Tennessee football. I didn't bring up Auburn.

 

I must have been thrown by your questions specifically asking about Auburn's upcoming season.

 

Give me a break. I didn't bring it up and only asked the question after someone's weak troll job.

 

Your reasons for them being good didn't do it for me either. I mean I could say much of the same things you did about Tennessee. QB has great arm talent but is unproven. We have a tough nose RB in Kelly. We have talent at WR. Our OL is a veteran group etc.

But we have Butch

 

Oh yeah. Nothing screams trolling like cutting down an SEC team not named Tennessee on a Tennessee forum. Who did it? We should probably ban him.

They've both definitely screwed up in ways that were very avoidable. It'll be interesting to see what happens this year.

I'm not sure how you got that from what I said.

 

He hired an air raid oc. You said he's not running an air raid offense.

So, if the offensive minded head coach isn't going to let the oc run what he knows, what is that called?

I should have been more clear. Air Raid is his background and that's where some of the passing concepts will come from but after being an analyst at Auburn he ran the ball more as an OC. Is it possible Gus will get too involved as soon as they have some bad drives against a good opponent? Absolutely. But in terms of philosophy it'll be fine.
