The presser will break your heart. Very sad.

I have not seen the presser or much about this news, but he really should have retired several years ago. All of those seizures on the sidelines cannot be good for you.

Really good coach. Too bad his health won't let him continue.

Yeah, his situation has always made me sad. He's definitely a good coach.

Maybe too soon to go here but with the number of coaching positions already open (and the number of positions potentially coming open at season's end) does anyone think we have a good opportunity to see Jones move along?

And if I recall correctly, he is generally liked?

Except from that one player who wrote to Deadspin threatening to sue him IIRC.

I feel bad for him. He's a good coach that most everyone seemed to like

Don't know about the good coach part, but I know his pain. It sucks.

He'll miss it, particularly when the lights come on on game day, but he'll adapt.

Sucks to see some not be able to do something they genuinely love due to health issues.

This would be a good landing spot for Kiffin.

I am sure the Mrs. would looooove Minnesota.

It's where he grew up. I seem to remember him interviewing for that job when they hired the guy before Kill.

Am I crazy to think that Kiffin would be unwilling to take a job like Minnesota. I mean I know his past may limit his options but Minnesota isn't a very easy place to be successful.

yup. he absolutely got an interview.

I think he could get a better job.

I think so too. But even if he couldn't I think he'd rather take another OC gig (maybe in the NFL) than go there.
