So nobody has offered a card, so I'll do one, though I tend to be more sappy: "In honor of Keith, who exhibited wit, wisdom and compassion; three traits of a great man." Workshop that, and let me know.
The Auburn folks in my life detest when I call their school a "cow college". Will always credit Hat with that wonderful moniker that adequately describes that silly school.
We're going to do the three tree memorial, and it has a spot for adding a card. That card... needs words. If nobody offers words, then we'll go with my words.
If anything that Hat’s passing has done… some of the old head posters coming back around here has been good for the soul. At the end of the day, we are all human boys. We have severe flaws that are compounded by huge egos. We’ve all went separate ways at times, but I do sincerely hope you dudes know that you have been a big staple of my life and have been there most likely unknowingly in some rough patches in my own life… and when it’s all said and done… that’s what life is truly all about. Life is too short for bitterness and angst. Every man to himself on here are some of the finest I’ve met in my life, throughout the world. Miss seeing you all around here, and hope this tragedy can bring some people “home.” oh, and [uck fay] Auburn.
Sad news. Never met Hat, but definitely had a few run ins with him. His place amongst the UT sports talk greats is undeniable. Probably the most unique UT message board personality I've seen in my 15 or so years of wasting my time on here with all you yahoos. Good to see some familiar faces in here that haven't been around in a while. Y'all should stick around.
Total bummer. He played the smarmy heel to perfection on message boards. He was the Bobby Heenan of posters. May he Rest in Peace.
