We just signed a transfer from the worst Ivy League team in the conference who averaged 7 points a game. He's got one highly rated player who looked mediocre last year and a bunch of guys who shouldn't be on major conference rosters. If he sniffs the tournament with these bums he should win national coach of the year.

 

They are far better than you think. Won't be surprised if they make the tournament.

 

Bird and Wallace alone will keep them in the top half of the PAC 12.

 

I don't see it

 

My academic lineage is all out of Cal, so I end up following that school when watching/talking sports with my adviser and such. The truth is the Pac 12 is wide open, and if Martin gets them buying in to his work ethic early they can make the tournament without even sweating it on Selection Sunday.

 

No front court whatsoever with rooks out for the season. Bird showed zero signs of being an elite basketball player last year which he needs to be for there to be a prayer of a good season. Wallace is decent. Kravish is ok. Everyone else literally is terrible. I see zero chance of making the tournament

 

Think he can keep it going with recruiting? May be more difficult to pull midwest kids to Berkeley

 

Plenty of local talent around

 

But does he want to play the California AAU game?

I agree. Dave Hart is terrible, and could never sell the premier facilities and support well enough to get an A-lister to come to Knoxville

 

Dave Hart got Mike Gundy more raises than his agent.

 

Tim Floyd and Larry Eustachy would have walked to Knoxville to take the job. Pretending that a guy with Tyndall's resume was the only option is laughable. Hart sucks.

 

This really isn't debatable. The guys has sucked everywhere he has been. Mix him in with a sorry administration and you get a cobbler of crap and I have proof.

 

Don't forget about stealing Butch from the likes of Colorado and Purdue too

 

No AD would have gotten those two hired at UT. Hart is great.
