Some people look at a star rating and that's it. With this kid, I see size, from Florida, and plays where most if not all kids play D1. New Coach would rather have a 4* kid because he's rated higher and have no other basis of comparison.

Coaches miss, but its hard to imaging Pruitt not seeing something. Unless Rumph sold him and vouched or some shit. We all know the players he's been around and championships he's won.
Chavis, what do you see on film? its not a challenge, just a question. Also, if he's playing next to 3 kids going to bama, fsu and Miami, he's prolly not going to stand out.

 

I don’t care about stars. Before Tennessee came along this kid was going to choose between Maryland and Pittsburgh.

 

This kid of from IMG, a school that gets more exposure than any high school in the country. No SEC school was recruiting him and he was about to go to Maryland.

It’s fine. He’s depth. But don’t act like it’s a homerun and you would rather have him than any 5 Star from Memphis.

 

I will take any 5 star over any 3 star coming out of HS.

I would say the rural Kentuckian has more upside.

 

Star ratings already take competition into account. It's not some rating based on straight production and high school stats.

 

Not sure about the competition deal. Camps obviously are a huge part.
