We threw our top two pitchers a good bit today. No idea what pitching depth is like, but I suppose softball players can go again faster than baseball players.
I think it makes sense to use your best right away in double elimination. If you save them, you may only get to use them once.
And softball pitchers don't need nearly as much rest. Under hand is a LOT easier on the shoulder and elbow.
Completely agree, just not sure where that leaves us—whether we can just throw them again Saturday or whether we need to rotate
Is there a pitch count in HS girls softball? I’m thinking the only reason to not pitch a pitcher as often as possible would be the legs being tired so they may need rest more than the arm. My arm won’t make that move but there’s not much torque to it and the motion is what the ball and socket are supposed to do.
I know in Little League if they pitch more than 6 innings they have to have at least a day of rest before they pitch again, but don't know about high school or TSSAA or whatever they're under.
A chance to take on Goliath today. I believe the winner of this game will be the eventual national champion.
