This is all true, but, unlike the men, I saw a lot of fixable things with a lot of new players in a one possession game in an away game, essentially, against a top ten team. I have some optimism. The talent is there.
No, those are fine. I’m looking at the dearth of explosiveness, scoring, and quickness from the perimeter and a frontcourt which looks merely pretty good while not as physically imposing. I think it’s a clear step back from the past 4 years.
One of the benefits of this style is the way it overwhelms inferior opponents. Create more possessions and force higher tempo is going to be trouble for lower level teams, even if it becomes fairly chaotic.
