Possibly 3 players quitting the team in a span 5 days is something.

 

I’m not up to date. More quit since the girl quit for not getting to start on senior night?

 

It’s all just rumors. Prawl was out and in concussion protocol but there’s been a lot of smoke that there is more to the story. And Cooper just left the locker room early with staffers. Just a lot of bad vibes. Losing 7 straight will do that.

 

im fine if they clean house top to bottom. Hate it as I don’t like to see likeable coaches fail but this year has been a disaster and embarrassing body language and effort all year. Play hard and miss shots and lose I can take fine. What they are doing every game used to equal running sprints in the back gym, or like in 1987 taking charges after the game for an hour after we let Chris Peoples score 52 of his teams 59 points in a loss at Millington, with no 3 pt line.

 

The attitude/effort of some players on this team reminds me of the team Pat booted out of Vol locker room and made them use the Visitor locker room until she felt they deserved to go back. Somebody forgot to tell some that money and stars doesn't mean your shit don't stink.

 

I really don’t find Caldwell all that likable. There’s a hint of Butch Jones “infallible system” arrogance that I sense in her.

 

Danny’s ego too big to fire her this soon.

 

He'd better wise the [uck fay] up. His everything school is spiraling. Football, M/W basketball, and baseball all demonstrably worse.

 

This is my least favorite Vol team of any sport ever.

I think even Caldwell is just waiting for the season to be over. I thought there was a chance a week off after the SEC gauntlet could see them come back with some focus, but it looks as bad as ever. I don't know if Caldwell has the coaching chops to build something new next year, but it's high time for a full roster house-cleaning at minimum.

 

I can take bad. That happens.

But, they just don't give a [uck fay] and I can't abide by this, especially for the most historic program in the country. No pride, no heart.

 

I think it's extremely clear Caldwell does not know how to get through to this specific group of players. Is that a coaching problem or a player problem? I suspect the answer is probably both, but it's an embarrassment, and you have to completely reset at least one of the two at minimum.

 

I think this season, it's a reset of the players. Next season, it's the coach.

 

That's what I figure too. You hope the first one does the trick, but I suspect it will take both.

 

By the sound of it, they need to retain her and burn the transcripts of a half dozen departing players.

 

Cut the lead to 2. Sub out all the players who erased the deficit. Now down 14. Amazing.

 

I would never go play in a system like that.

 

Lost 11 of their last 13 games. You have to fire her. This just isn't going to work.

White won't, but he absolutely should. She's decimated this program and I don't think she's smart enough to figure out the solution, just one system at all times.

 

Does she have a buyout? If yes, Danny should be thrown off the Henley St. bridge if he fires her and wastes money on a buyout. Let her coach until her contract expires and then put one of the people dumb enough to pay for court side seats in charge.
