Assault rifle is a term used by the left to demonize some rifles based on appearance. They arent functionally different from other hunting rifles. Automatic weapons are already illegal. Bump Stocks are a loophole on that ban and will likely bite the dust. However criminals will make their own in the future. That genie is out of the bottle. An obscure toy has now been mainstreamed by the mass murderer. DIY bump stock vids will now be on the internet forever.
No but I will quote Adams: "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." - John Adams
I'm just trying to understand why some people are fine with supporting a measure they themselves believe to be constitutional.
Because it is at least consistent, even if wrong. But it's the same as those who believe A to be constitutional and B to be not, and A and B aren't dissimilar. A semi automatic weapon is a semi automatic weapon is a semi automatic weapon. Why is one constitutional and the other isn't?
So here is a link to the 3d printer files for a bump stock https://github.com/maduce/fosscad-r.../AR-15_Bumpfire_Stock_v2-Disruptive_Solutions video of a guy who has 3d printed some AR-15 parts...probably got demonitized for it. You can 3D print a whole gun. You can make ricin in your kitchen. What of it? Should pipebombs be legal?
CNN has a biography up of all 58 of the deceased victims. It is very hard to read through them and feel like you knew some of these people. They really are a slice of us.
