Also, back to Star Wars real quick. I actually hope that the First Order is a paramilitary like the SA and the Sith are primary.

It would explain the technology, resources, supply lines and the ship yards needed to build and operate a fleet.

*Weaponizing a planet was stupid and lazy.

There had to be a contingency plan for the Empire to regroup.

An operations center deep in the outer rim would be perfect.

 

Hadn't heard that. You know, I liked the finished product. I still am not a huge fan of Snyder's visual style, but I really want to see that cut.

HBO, eh. I'll find it somewhere. Sure as heck won't be my DC Universe subscription, but I'll find it somewhere.

I don't think I can bring myself to watch this one after the storyline was pretty well murdered in the last movie.

I mean, Jedi Jesus wasn’t even the worst part.

 

Am I going to watch it? Yea. Will it be opening night? Probably.

Will I then complain about how awful it is? Definitely.

I've yet to repeat a Star Wars movie other than the OT.

 

I still don't think 7 was awful. Sans a few scenes, 8 is the worst of them all.

 

Also, other than Luke being dead, I think Abrams is going to pretend 8 never happened.

I've only seen 8 in the theater and a bit here and there. It's a sprawling mess as I recall. For all the crap wrong with episodes I-III, they at least move a coherent story forward. There were times I failed to even remember the point of the plot(s) in 8.

 

There was no point to it.

Rey and Kylo fighting the Imperial Guard was great.

Rey nearly beating the shit out of Luke was great.

Anytime Yoda makes an appearance is great.

Chewy about to eat the porg was hysterical.

That's pretty much it.

 

Leave the Old Testament outta this, heathen.

 

Yoda and Luke together was the best part of 8. I keep forgetting the good parts as my mind goes back to some scenes in a space casino and a space battle that was the equivalent of a fuel mileage race in NASCAR.

 

The teaser of Rey going dark is well done. I'm still banking it's a vision of some sort, but it's a great tease.

Evil 3PO has potential. I hope he takes out someone good if they are going to do it. If not, let R2D2 take him out. (If he takes out R2D2 I do reserve the right to cry.)

If we get the Emperor, and with Kylo's obsession with Vader, do we get some type of Vader appearance?

How was Snoke tied into this?

What's Rey's lineage?

Does Lando end up with Rey?

So much possibility.
