No coach on a bad team that can lose on any night is going to say he took it easy on a D1 opponent. When you sit guys, the answer is obvious. We also have 28-35 pts easily if we hit wide open receivers on 6-7 occasions vs dumping to the back, but hey, high completion% is near tops in sec. Yay.
After 2 years I still can’t get a good read on Palmer. My fear is that he always has his man beat/gets behind coverage but we’re incapable of getting him the ball.
The more I thought about it, Tennessee really didn't block UTC worth a shit a few years ago. Appy State kicked the OL's ass in 2016. UMASS had their way in 2017. This isn't a new problem
Not sure if you're joking or not, but we haven't been very tough in that area for a while. Even when Tiny Richardson and Co. were here we were not road graders in the run dept. Good pass blockers.
I'm not joking. The only difference between then and now is a running threat at QB that freezes all defensive players for a step.
On most runs, the defense knows and sends 6 or 7 upfield. Them getting tipped off isnt discussed enough. They arent waiting to read.
What’s the deal with Brandon Johnson? Seems like the last staff loved him. This game against Charlotte is the first time I can recall seeing him.
