http://espn.go.com/college-football...ile&rand=ref~{"ref":"http://t.co/lx72VskxjD"} I hate this for Bill Clark, he is one of my former HS lineman. There has been a lot of talk down here about this. People really upset with Bryant Jr. it seems that he is leading the charge for this to happen.
I wonder if a lot of the smaller schools will not be able to afford football much longer? UAB is no slouch school, and they play a lot of the big boys. Hard to believe they are not making enough money that they will have to shut it down.
Paul Bryant Jr. is on the BOT. UAB is in the Alabama system and they don't want to have to take anything away from the Mothership.
As part of the U of A system, they don't want UAB to get anything that could hurt the Capstone. UAB wanted to hire Jimbo Fisher and the BOT nixed the deal because they were afraid that HE could possibly steal recruits from bama. You can't make this stuff up.
I read an article that says the contract for the UT-UAB game says that if UAB backs out of the game (for this particular reason), then they will have to pay UT the $925K that they were gonna receive to play UT.....almost a 2 million dollar swing....ouch
Maryville college available? I want the pansiest team available that will still count towards a valid win.
