Yeah, definitely off the Mississippi State bandwagon. Thought coming into this season they could rise up and be a solid #3 in the West with Arkansas and Auburn's personnel losses. Not so much now.
The are a solid football team that's one dimensional on offense. The nine win season and trouncing of Michigan in the Gator Bowl made some people think they were more than that, but the record against the SECW outside of their own state speaks for itself. It's actually a testament to Mullen, IMO, that he can throw an overmatched team out there against LSU last night or Arkansas, Florida, or Auburn last year, and play an ugly competitive game. I mean, isn't he supposed to be a flashy offense guy?
