didn't realize du rag was offensive. We wore them when I was younger. College teammates and friends wore them all the time. It was referred to as a du rag. Arizona announcer having to apologize and take sensitivity training for saying a pitchers du rag looked like one he saw Tom Seaver wearing. Seems as if people are wanting to be offended by everything possible, but I also can assume the color of the announcer is the reason why. Stephen A Smith could talk about du rag for an hour and nobody would care.
It’s kinda along the same lines as the one that got Milbury. Nothing really but they suck so who cares
Seems there is a confluence of things that have really damaged baseball. swing changes analytics shifts and now pitchers gooping the ball. Can the sport be saved? I don't mean saved from death, it isn't going anywhere soon, but can it be made enjoyable to watch like it was in the 70s and 80s?
Cubs had a combined no-hitter last night (7th in MLB this season, record for before July 1st, and tied for most in a SEASON since 1900). Now, can you imagine being the starter, throwing a no-no and you get pulled because of pitch count? I would be [uck fay]ing irate.
He was at 94 pitches thru 6. I don’t know how much longer you can realistically expect to stay in the game.
He’d also walked 5 through 6. So it was probably a matter of time before implosion. Definitely wasn’t finishing the game one way or another
Lol, Holy shit. Not lol in that I find it actually funny that the guy tore his Achilles again; but lol that’s just so absurd there’s nothing else to do but laugh.
I didn’t think the Cardinals would be great but they’ve been squarely under my low bar. Tons of pitching injuries too. Only so much you can do with that.
I think we all knew the division was going to be bad bad but don’t think anybody had 2 of the 3 contenders this far back, this early. The Cubs may not win again.
