It was less about players lost vs players acquired than just the WTF factor in the clubhouse. The interviews I saw those guys were crushed

 

The Braves were a game and a half away from being the first team to play a full 162 game schedule without a sacrifice bunt, but they decided moving runners over in a one run game was more important than history.

 

Jake Odorizzi is pitching well tonight and the dude looks like he’s walking to the electric chair. I don’t think I’ve ever seen worse body language on a guy who is actually pitching well.

 

They might set the record for runners left on base instead. Jesus.

Been on this planet for almost 30 baseball seasons, and the Braves have won the division in nearly 20 of those seasons. But damn, this one is perhaps the sweetest division pennant yet. What a run since June. We are officially spoiled as Braves fans.
