Movies I Just Don't Get

muppets are good when they are written well. the recent stuff has been garbage.

star trek is no different than any other well written drama when it's done properly. they just have a wider universe to pull from which for some of us makes it more compelling.

twilight is for 12 year old girls and lonely housewives.

 

I've tried to watch that several times - never made it through.

hoosiers sucks. coach stinks till he decides to actually play his best player. the scrubs have almost nothing to do with the victory. chitwood shoots like 80 percent from the field when he is actually allowed to shoot. wow. great story.

 

I don't even know how to respond to this. Did you not have a childhood or something?

 

I love it, but it's the rare movie where individual scenes are better than the sum of the parts if you know what I mean.

 

I've seen that before and it wasn't Hoosiers.

It's not just that. Stupid crap like him discovering the Watergate break-in just drove me nuts. Plus him running across America for three years. Just stop.

That's not too surprising, but he was almost equally valuable on defense: The Huskers had a defensive rating of 175.0 without Jimmy, but 126.2 with him. That's 49 points prevented per 100 possessions. This makes Jimmy worth about 112 points over the course of an entire game in which each team had 100 possessions. You don't need me to put that in perspective, though I'll note that no NBA player is currently worth more than 20 points using the same metric.
