Yep, I hope the big money people make the decision easy for Blackburn to fire Jones if he doesnt leave on his own.

Secondly, I hope the big money people say that "money is not the issue" in hiring the new coach.

    Definitely fun for sure.

As well as Taxslayer and Outback Bowls. I was just trying to give Butch a head start.

By falling from the Sugar to Music City, Tennessee lost $525,000 in bowl money, and that they would have otherwise received - and YES, this is AFTER the SEC got it's cut.

    Cheap coaches aren't cheap.

And if you'd read my follow up, I posted that it appeared to be a hoax.

    1. The fire victims deserve that and more.
    2. Jones hasn't deserved a damn dime this season.

Shitty having a hoax about giving people who need the money to find out it was a hoax.

What would Butch's bonus have been if he made the Sugar?

Why are we incentivizing a MCB appearance? Who dreamed that up?

It's really awesome because this year (and a few other years) he could have made a bowl simply by going 5-7. That means he could have gotten that 100k bonus (more than 90-some percent of Knoxville households annual income I'd guess) with wins over just Appalachian State, Ohio, Tennessee Tech, and just two out of Vandy, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Missouri. Woo!

We don't have an AD that is on the ball.

Easily more than 90 % of Knoxville households, I'd agree.

I bet it's been standard contract language since late-Fulmer.

It just makes absolutely no sense that a season that should usher someone out the door, or at least be seen as a negative that would raise red flags, is being rewarded. It's illogical to structure a contract in a way that someone gets a bonus for an offense, that if repeated, is fireable.

Let's just call this the Battle of the Has-Beens. Two programs that once had success, but now only care about taking fans' money.

It doesn't make it right, but you probably can't find many coaches that don't have contracts full of these things
