Not sure if SFW...
That's what happens when you get government small enough to drown in a bathtub.
Good grief, it never fails to hinder my faith in humanity when I read the comments section of an article, but, damn, those people chiming in are straight trash.
As for the water, how is Detroit charging so much for water? They are located on quite a big reservoir of water.
They've completely destroyed their tax base from horrible management and policies, so someone has to pay for the infrastructure.
I've been to the Detroit area 5 or 6 times for work. Absolutely miserable. It's like Gotham but with more minorities and less superheros. They really ought to just let the place burn to the ground and start over.
It’s a basic human right: water.
Never knew this was covered in the Bill of Rights.
Can't be deprived of your life without due process. Water is life.
Sounds good to me.
Who's being deprived?
Was tongue in cheek.
I actually agree with this for the most part. I doubt too many people have reasonable access to clean water without it running through their pipes. On the other hand, I doubt too many of those that can't pay have the will or knowledge to actually obtain clean drinking water if it is reasonably accessible.
iPhone > water
It's not like the area is a desert and they're plenty of free public water fountains they can feel up jugs with.
Running water isn't a right
Plus if the UN has to step that's really Damn embarrassing and shouldn't be allowed
I got my Obama phone!!!
Part of me wants it to happen
every city has low income rates for water. my guess is in detriot it got to such a tipping point that they couldn't afford the freebees anymore.
I just want to throw it out there that I had to pay $350.00 to turn our water on.
The ****? Where the hell do you live?
