We had a $250 tap fee 13 years ago.

    Purcellville, Va

Good old Loudoun County, where money is plentiful. The county school budget is right at a billion dollars.

    Hahahahhahahaha

Waste of money. They should be giving tax breaks and massive corporate/business tax incentives instead of wasting it on education.

Got all that too, at the moment, I'm about 10 minutes from Redskins Park.

It's a different world up here, I don't like living here, but the overall benefits compared to the rest of the state make it a no brainer.

We have to purchase parking passes for either the county or municipality in which you live.

It's a fancy way of saying tax.

Awesome, then we have personal property tax on our cars to pay for the roads and such.

    I'm a taxed out bastard!

I like use taxes better than straight property taxes. Spread it out.

Parking ticket averages $60 in these parts. Amazing how efficient the govt can be when they want your money.

Alexandria you can get a ticket for expired tags, inspection, window ticket etc from a glorified meter maid.

They just leave the violation stub on your car.

I spent 30 minutes watering my plants tonight. That's all I have to add.

Pretty much the ones that blamed the "liberals", "Obama", "Knee Groes" (Although, that is a clever way to get past the censors.) for creating this problem and the usual "Welcome to the Socialist States of American" variations. So, basically, all of them.

This one kind of covers a lot of them:

"Black people who are so useless and stupid they again need to steal whites money to survive. And now we have train loads of the useless Browns on the way to steal some also. Unites States the country that put a man on the moon now falling apart only 50 yea later. The Leftist ideology has done a great job of destroying this country."

    Or this drivel:

"There's nothing "progressive" about regressing to the era of Marx. The left rejects the enlightenment. The Left rejects the founding principles; the Left is the enemy of America."

Centralized planning and putting all your eggs in one basket and pumping that well dry has caused the issue.

I think this is a better way to explain the problem. I'm not familiar enough with Detroit water issues to agree or disagree, but this sounds more plausible.

The issues in cities like Detroit and Cleveland is all of the red tape and bullshit that you have to jump through to start and do business there. They have committees for everything. They bust your balls over the size, colors, and shapes of signs. They types of business that can be zoned for this area or that area, and they wonder why no one wants to do business there.

I'd say a major problem was pushing all the earners into the suburbs.

You got a deal. It's just under $1,000.00 to get hooked up on city water here.
