Hard numbers? Qb ratings in the 50s are hard numbers to prove that qbs who were on teams with 20 future NFL players were mediocre to good? For real?
Ok, leave Barkley out. There are still plenty of other guys that show you're wrong. And fwiw nobody Barkley was throwing to did jackshit in the NFL.
Guy had 153 yards on 63 carries while the leading rusher went for over 1,100 on 220+ carries, so.....
I don't care what he was named, he essentially didn't even play that year. You used him to show that Palmer had no help when he in fact had an 1,100 yard rusher.
Yep, Hardesty did it as a junior in 2008: http://www.utsports.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/101708aae.html
Why haven't we seen a true frosh qb contend for a heisman if it's possible for a true frosh to be really good?

He started after the guy that started over him his entire career graduated, but he was elected captain while Foster was still on the team. Arian wasn't a captain. I'm sure that's an infrequent occurrence, but it done happened.
Well in usc's case Petros was the starter, got injured, and then was named the team captain and never really got healthy. The fact he started at all is a indictment of the offensive talent level.
