I don’t get why they didn’t test the substance on the .22 fragment.

If it was lip balm, it’s with out a doubt that the police was planting evidence

Zellner is petitioning to test the bones found in the quarry with a new technique that allows DNA ID even on bones in poor condition. In the trial, the state said these bones were animal bones and we're dismissed. Zellner believes they are holbach's and this will prove that the state's story is false and that Avery was framed. There is also a chance that if the one who moved the bones didn't wear gloves, they will also be IDed.

I somehow missed this series. I watched it all in a few days. My mind is blown. This is one of the damndest things I've ever watched. I do think that Avery probably isn't the nicest guy in the world and he may have done it - but there's definitely enough doubt with all of the surrounding factors where there's no way I'd say that was a slam dunk. The prosecutor and several of those cops made my blood boil. I was shaking my head going these guys are not telling the real story here.

There's so much I could dissect but the thing that actually makes me the most dumbfounded in all of this is Brendan Dassey. That interrogation was complete horseshit. You could tell the kid was not all there - capping it off in the interview by ASKING them if he was going to be out by 1:29 and they asked why and he said he had a project due for 6th period. He had NO idea of the repercussions of his confession - real or not. He was on the same mental level of a 7 or 8 year old. Sure, old enough to know that killing someone was not right I'm sure but there could have been other factors involved. Do we even know if he was involved at all? I think it could very well be argued with some of the other factors in this case that his brother is the far more sinister Dassey. That crap he was searching for on the internet - that kid had a higher IQ.

I could go on and on.........the ex boyfriend doesn't seem right nor does the lady who magically found the Rav-4 in record fashion in a salvage yard of thousands of cars. The blonde lady who inspected the bullet and definitely screwed up. The one cop who was so obviously IMO staring at the car when he calls the plates in.........the two other cops who interrogated Dassey at the school. You couldn't actually come up with a story this insane and yet it's real.

The main thing I wouldn't understand is why Avery would even do this. He was about to be a millionaire. So why in God's name would he do something this stupid? Maybe he IS just that stupid which is possible. But I would think his brain cells would collide together well enough to do a better job of disposing of the evidence if he did it and surely he wouldn't have put the Rav-4 on the salvage yard property itself. If you held a gun to my head I'd say there's a good chance that he done it but that theory of her actually leaving and being ran down by Bobby Dassey and killed by him would make way more sense. Especially with his internet search history of looking specifically at dead women and trying to look for underage porn. But there's many, many things through all of this that can't be explained.
