I thought Cowboy Bebop was surprisingly entertaining. Curious why the reviews are so split.

I liked it better than the old story from the books which was weird

 

I enjoyed it as well. I read there were a lot of complaints about the set being cheap, and that it didn't take any risks.

I was surprised when I saw it got canceled.

Zero, IMHO. Shand was an assassin doing real work before the rebellion even started. (As seen in last season of Clone Wars/Bad Batch).

Backstory is way more interesting than the current story.

 

They spent very little time on the current story this week. I loved episode 2 but they need to pick that part of it up
