That is EXACTLY what I thought when reading this. No one wants to lynch Butch for losing to Bama, but NARROWLY beating Appy State, struggling against Ohio, 7 turnovers against A&M, losing to USC (with a divisional championship on the line), and losing to Vandy (with a state championship on the line)...sure that IS FAIR GAME.

I am convinced. Out boosters and UTAD WANT 9-3. They can live with 7 or 8. 10 is good every now and then. 11 and the FB coach might be getting too big for his britches. Please not 12-0. Please.

 

I see nothing all that shocking about this. Boosters are just idiot fans like the rest us, they just have more money and due to them probably having more inside access they tend to lean to supporting the AD. He also emphasizes next year is important, which just about everyone agrees with. No East title next year, extension will be a hard sell.
