How about this take... There's practically no AD currently, and he's Dave Hart's boy anyway. Someone needed to provide the pre-firing kiss of death, we support the coach vote of confidence. I'm not saying he's gone in the next few weeks, but statements like these mean little.

That might be how it works in places where things like competence and expertise are held in esteem. I don't think anything is off the table here.

 

I still believe (rather faintly) that all the turnover upcoming on this coaching staff will cause Butch to bounce. Nothing to back it up. Just a hopeful theory
