Hopefully he's forcing them to overbid him so they underbid an OC. Then they sign an OC and he leaves.

I've convinced myself this is what is happening. I've learned to cultivate alternate realities as a UT fan, obviously.

It’s going to be hard to sign an OC or DC for less than what one of their position coaches is making.

Nah, he managed to keep 1st year LB coach and Co-DC Pete Golding despite Oklahoma and Ole Miss come calling for sole DC job... I know Ole Miss was offering 3 years @ 1.5 per guranteed and he was only making around 800K ish at Bama..so he is getting a salary bump and title bump.

Imagine that Lupoi stays..

 

Lupoi probably gets fired or gets all defensive play calling taken away.

 

I think Osovet will move up to a position coach.

 

So, is Clempson not losing any coaches ?

 

But not till after signing day

 

They rarely do, unless it's retirement or head coaching positions

 

Tony Elliott will probably start getting some head coaching looks next year, but that Clemson staff is pretty firmly locked in.

Georgia spurned again. Come on Sam, do it.

 

That has got to sting. Miami should not be able to pay what Georgia can.

 

This could be a double win for us, IMO.

 

As in, Pittman's on the way out and UGA doesn't land another nearly good coordinator?
