It could be bad. Playing #1 and 2, two more Heisman candidates and already decimated. Hope people are patient because it's fun right now.
But that maybe is a lot stronger in my mind now. Give me Simmons, Mitchell, Jackson and Mays back I may even say probable win
If I were to guess, id say some of our injured guys could have gone today but were held out with the biggest game in recent history looming. This one is big for the program but it is personal for the fan base and the new faces on staff and admin don't have to keep their ear to the ground long for that to be apparent.
Our best chance to beat ole piss is to keep them off the field. We can do that by leaning on our run game against their absolute horrible defense.
Yes. His size and running style make him a bit of a throwback to RBs of the 80s-00s. Unlike every other RB in the Age of Spread, he keeps to the inside without unnecessary paths to the boundaries. It feels like it's been a decade since I've seen a back work towards the inside. The real surprise though is Smalls. I don't think anyone thought he could be consistent and productive at the highest level of college football.
IMO Kentucky is a good matchup for a run D that has been salty when healthy. I expect to be underdogs, but coming off a bye, I think we win if we don’t dig ourselves a hole with turnovers. Ole Miss is going to torch our defense, and if we don’t get a whole bunch of guys healthy that weren’t healthy today, it could feel like the McCluster game. If we do, we can get them into a shootout and who knows? Alabama and Georgia are just silly good, and if we’re competitive with either in the fourth quarter, we’ll feel great about ourselves even while saying we don’t believe in moral victories.
