In all honesty, I'm surprised stuff like this doesn't happen more often.

 

Though, watch the film and Rudolph was pulling on Garrett's helmet first, like he was trying to pull his off under the pile. The whole thing was a cluster[uck fay] and a lot of suspensions need to come down on both sides.

 

I do think it is not completely dissimilar from ray rice punching his wife

 

I was thinking that on the way into work today. A game of car crashes and amphetamines and I am surprised that more fights don't happen.

 

I do wonder if the law gets involved in this, or would Rudolph have to press charges?

 

I don't know about completely, but there was some physical provocation and the circumstances around a high stress physical activity like that certainly preclude one to more aggressive action.

In other words, I could see myself pushed to violence much more easily in a football pileup than in an elevator with a woman half my size.

If Garrett had pulled his helmet off and hit him with his fist, that’s a no-no, but you can suspend and move on.

Weaponizing equipment just takes it to a whole new level. That shit can’t happen. If I’m the NFL, I’m not so sure I don’t extend his suspension into the 2020 season.

 

Yeah, that could have killed Rudolph, and that isn't hyperbole. Luckily it just grazed him but imagine if it hit him hard in the temple.

 

You're supposed to be a badass dlineman and your legacy is swinging a helmet and not knocking the QB out

 

Rudolph’s head would’ve still been in the helmet if Derek Barnett had ripped it off.

 

Derek Barnett won a Super Bowl before Myles Garrett won a game.

 

He’s suspended for at least the rest of this season.
