UF game moved to Atlanta. Saturday.
Where will the game be played next year?
I don't know how they could justify moving it to UF next year -- unless they just follow the yearly alternating schedule by returning to Knoxville in '19.
I can't imagine UT would be pleased about having 1 fewer home game considering there's already a neutral site with WVU down either, though.
I was under the impression that if it moved to a neutral site that the following years destination would be unchanged. The only way we'd have to go to Gainesville back to back is if we played it in Neyland this year, but I may be wrong about all of this.
I assume Currie learned from Alleva and made it clear we won't be giving up our home game next year.
It's official? Ive not seen or hears this anywhere.
And where are we playing?
Fixed thread title.
Considering the GA Dome has been gutted and no windows according to Hubbs, this isn't the location.
Sweet, fans can stand and we can play on concrete!
If we play in atlanta, it will be on Friday. We are fighting this.
Saturday will be gainesville, here, or if I get my wish, legion field.
Hubbs direct quote on GA Dome "Georgia Dome is gutted. No seats, no windows. It's being prepped for demoltion."
A game between these two teams would be the perfect sendoff.
With the shit that is going to be put onto the field that day, I think this would be the perfect venue.
If Currie lets them move the home game next year, we should go ahead and start the new AD search.
anybody at the UT vs NC state game in Atlanta a few years ago when someone fell from the top tier down onto a couple of UT fans? That upper deck was nuts. When you looked up, the rail wasn't waist high to most people. Happened @ 10 rows behind me.
I'm confident that Currie will tell Florida to go to hell
If the game moves out of Gainesville (which I still will have to see it to believe it), and it causes a disruption in the home/away series between TN and UF....wouldn't that mean that we'd then be playing home/away groups of:
AWAY (2018, 2020, 2022, etc.)
HOME (2018, 2020, 2022, etc.)
If so, I'm not sure that I don't prefer that, purely from a standpoint of winning the SECE. Am I missing something?
I swear I think I've heard / read something about next year's game has to be in Gainesville if this year's game is moved anywhere, including to a neutral site. Could be completely wrong, or whatever I saw / heard is shit, but I think I recall it correctly.
