What's the purpose of allowing Dooley to stick around this long? Someone please give me a reason. And I don't want to hear about stability.

Keep in my mind my basis isn't over this kid flipping. I personally don't give a crap about recruiting. But when this Doofus' alleged strong point is recruiting and you have a steaming pile of manure class awaiting, then why not let that be the icing on the cake to can his butt?

 

Doing a good job imploding with him, too.

Once you lose the one thing that you're good at, the house of cards soon falls apart.

That was meant to be facetious. Sometimes I'm not sure if that comes across in text.

Seriously, I feel like there's some misguided sense of fairness in the back of my head saying that if we hire a guy, we ought to give him long enough to get a shot that's not completely crippled by the previous three failed classes. But then I see how he can't hold onto assistants. And has a thoroughly mediocre recruiting class. And still hasn't won a big game. And then I remember who hired him in the first place. And the only good reason I could see not to make a change is if we can't get our top target replacement at this point.

 

Running off coaches, burning the shirts off of Tiny and Worley, and not making your best '11 recruit(Arnett) as comfortable as possible is a quick way to become really REALLY bad at recruiting.
