The best thing that can happen for Butch Jones is for us to have a 10-2 season.

The best thing for Tennessee's boosters is for us to have a 10-2 season.

The worst thing for Tennessee's beleaguered fan base is a 10-2 season.

Because the only thing worse than hopelessness is false hope.

10-2 it is.

 

10-2 with 8 or 9 starters back the following year on offense and maybe 9 on defense doesn't sound too bad to me.

 

10-2, then Butch uses the success to bolt for another job. Sounds like the best case to me.

 

Im just not buying it. I'm anxious to see how it works out. He's a moron. The coordinators are great but you aren't gonna sustain any success without a competent head man.

We've been waiting for Butch to bolt to another job for 3 years. If he hasn't managed it by now he never will.

 

The reason he hasn't is because no one wanted him. He goes 10-2 he'll be able to convince some dumb AD like the one we had that he's capable of turning their football program into a powerhouse.

 

If we go 10-2 and manage to palm Botch off on say... Ole Miss..... I may make national news for what I'd do in broad daylight on Kingston Pike....

 

Nah. You would be pressed to make local news after NYY does his thing.

 

You're fooling yourself if you think 8-4 fulfills everything you said about 10-2. We're forever in mediocrity with him. 10-2 is too close to an accomplishment.

I don't know if he's ever done that in his whole career. Maybe at Western Michigan
