I work with guys that use their refund as a savings account. I asked one guy, why don't you just save the money yourself? He says, I know I'll spend it.

 

The consensus so far at work has been people are happy with the new deductions.

 

really? people here are all convinced they are paying more even though i know for many that can't be true. the stats also show almost no one is paying more.

 

I've had to awkwardly explain to people that the President did not increase their taxes.

 

I've had 2 pay more.

Both were single guys who lost a lot a lot of unreimbursed expenses.

 

you should introduce them so they can get married and get the tax benefit

 

I just spit tea everywhere on that one.

 

The new standard deduction made it a lot easier for most of us. Most are happy with the refunds.

My tax lady told me 2 years in a row, make less money. Not trying to be a [penis] about how much I make, but I know you guys know how much overtime I complain about working. Just saying, especially the year I worked two storms, the lady told me if I didn't want to pay out the rectum, try to cut back. I did that '18. I feel like my tax situation was much better. The guys I work with mostly say the same. It's less headache with all the receipts.

3rd grade art show tonight. Boy had a piece that teacher actually wrote comments on how well it was done. One of three comments (yes I started looking and counting) of 500 art designs throughout year from the kids. Was shocked and happy at how good his stuff was overall.

He can draw and wanted to protest our church building a new auditorium because it might affect the animals.

He also wants to be an aerospace engineer and talks about blowing stuff up. He also loves football.
