Same. I’m for a couple of minor styling upgrades on the outside / body (like the mag wheels, here) but otherwise want it pretty much stock. I want every modern convenience and bell and whistle under the hood and inside, within reason. I want it to look mostly original, but upgraded.

Oof. Would have to think about it.

Gotta change this thread's title to "Talkin' shop."

In tonight's episode, I'm drinking bourbon and using an air solenoid, 12V 7ah battery with a wireless remote to create a double barreled confetti canon... because the boss went out of town.

And when the boss goes out of down for New Years, he comes home to a present on his desk that launches a few pounds of confetti all over.

Art once again imitates life... I'm short on the pipe, but I think I got the job done.

    Time to paint it.

Make sure it makes a party-favor "FWEEEEEE!" sound when it fires off, perhaps an mp3 of some fanfare.

I'll bring it up in planning today.

I'd have to do some testing, because I need the microcontroller (ESP8266 in this case) to read the air solenoid's relay as an input.

    Hm.

Yeah I'm not sure I wanna play any of floats pinball games. Possibility of a bonus points area with an explosion as reward is possible.

My dad and I rebuilt a 1979 Ford Bronco when I was young. I drove it for two years

My dad and I are fixing up an early style bronco.

Crazy how simple those old engines were compared to today's

I'll get a video. We tested it 6 or so times yesterday. And after 4 times of picking up confetti from every surface of my office... we went and bought a small shop vac.

Also, a little confetti apparently goes a long way. We bought 2 pounds, we're using... an ounce.

Yea, it's controlled by a little fob.

The air solenoid is a normally closed device, so when power is applied, and for as long as power is applied, it'll open.

So a little keychain fob like below, that has a relay works well.

We can do it over the Net, if we want, with just replacing the fob with a little microcontroller like the particle electron.
