I'm not sure if a deep dive into it is worth it at this point. Again, I don't anticipate making any moves until sometime next year. Just too many other higher priority items on the list at the moment. That said, when the time comes, I won't be against dropping the necessary amount of money in order to make sure I have a quality system that will last. I don't really know what that would take, from a $$$ perspective, but if it helps, I wouldn't be opposed to spending the amounts IP outlined earlier.
Had a PS5 since launch. Just switched back over to Xbox (Series X). With cross play it doesn’t really matter which system. Flight Simulator was the biggest reason for the switch. I’m not a PC guy (Mac) so Xbox is the only option to play it.
With news that Starfield will be an Xbox exclusive, I’m starting to lean more that direction when I eventually get a next gen console.
Do you have a PS5? Still on the fence but I honestly don’t play very much. Last game I played was RDR2 and it took me months to beat.
Yeah. I don’t care or play enough to worry about trying to get one now. Once they become easily accessible I’ll consider.
I follow a few Twitter accounts that tip you off on inventory drops but I haven’t really gotten after it
Anybody already done all the research on the best handheld PC’s? Looking to buy one to take on work trips. Probably prefer the SteamOS but open to being convinced otherwise. The smaller the better (within reason), probably, since it’ll be traveling in a suitcase.
I have the a first generation ROG Ally and like it but it has some flaws (battery sucks, difficult to upgrade storage, the sd card slot is known to fail and cause a range of issues up to frying the whole thing). You probably aren’t ever going to get great battery life out of one because of what it’s built to do, but everything is improving. That said, if I were to buy one today it would most likely be a Legion. The big names (Steam Deck, ROG, Legion) are all well reviewed at this point. Just make sure you are committed to it if you are gonna go Steam OS. Unless it’s changed, it’s not particularly easy to play GamePass on it, if that’s something you think you will want to do. Whatever you do I would probably get on it soon and maybe go up a level on specs from what you think you want. I can’t imagine the prices aren’t going to go way up at least in the near term, and even if you wanted to upgrade storage at some point, prices for that are obscene currently and there’s not much hope that is going to change anytime soon
This feels like one of those questions where Indy gets feedback and then ends up buying a Nintendo DS.
