I was just ecstatic that I did not have to take a slide-rule refresher.

I asked ChatGPT to tell you to go [uck fay] yourself in a calm, intelligent manner.

If intelligence were artificial, it would still outperform deliberate ignorance every time

My 1st quarter out of HS we had to use slide-rule. Thank goodness I had learned how to use one in HS and I did not have to buy one. I had my Dad's.

If anything good came out of draft it was when I went back to UT, they had invented the calculator.

I have much respect for all those that came before me that had to use that infernal mechanical device.

It is amazing people have not realized Biden was actually a good president by every metric that matters. But since we haven't, I guess we will keep plumbing the bottom on dipshit stuff until we do.

Maybe? Possibly, but chances of him winning a primary are probably slim here.

As an aside, you know he came up with that dialog for the original ad, and I'd wager a small bit it was against the advice of his campaign folks. He may not be completely simple, but he's never been as smart as he thinks he is.

Just had my first pronoun reprimand at Target.
    “Can I help you today?”
-No ma’am I am good but thank you
    “I’m not a ma’am. Do better”
I was being polite southern style. You have [breasts], bra, earrings, makeup and your name is Lisa. Srsly [uck fay] off.

“Yes, ma’am” or “Nice [breasts], bro” would have both been hilarious responses.

So I'm guessing parents need to beware of teaching their kids to show respect with a "Yes, ma'am. Yes, sir."?

I reckon, a simple, "Yes, thank you. No, thank you." will replace an age-old show of respect.

Stories of "I 'member when my granny would whip my azz with a switch when I got home if I I did not say Yes,ma'am/No, ma'am" will be, well stories.

I did what @Ssmiff did to a hotel front desk clerk once. But the clerk had been taught not to be an azzhole. He/she just smiled and gave me the "You're my granny's age. No harm. No foul." look. They had been brought up right, imo. Yes, they/No, they just doesn't have the same ring.

If I'm confused, I learned and just replace "no ma'am/ no sir" with "no thanks". Hell, even the young ladies get miffed if I say, "no ma'am". I have noticed, nothing derogitory is said if you hold a door for a lady, like the old days. The young guys kinda strut around if I say "no sir".
