Predict the Score - Ole Miss Edition

There are plenty of reasons for optimism. The Athletic’s computer model has it as a literal tie, and S&P+ has the Vols by three. South Carolina’s defense is better than Ole Miss’, and we actually did reasonably well for good portions of the game against the two excellent offenses we’ve faced.

Ole Miss has a longer track record than us and better wins (mostly Arkansas), but it’s not crazy to expect good things. I’m just not ready to be hurt again, haha

There is no reason NOT to be optimistic. I am concerned that 4th and 6 and it’s not a punt. We could win. And I will be drinking and watching. I made my prediction and explained why but I won’t be upset if I’m wrong.

Yeah a lot of time predicted shootouts don't materialize but in this case I just don't see any way that this one isn't a race to 50.

I have a much harder time seeing a win without Evans. Small is a serviceable starter but he doesn’t have the home run potential of Evans.

Any chance the Evans "news" is just a cat and mouse game? Brice says out, Hubbs says decision will be made today. Make Ole Miss prepare extra.

 

I just think our defense is so much better than their defense that it will all even out, and that we win. The only real defense they have come up against they have been shut down (Bama). not comparing us to Bama in any way, but just where I am hanging my hat.
