Yeah. Worst football game ever.

 

We could have punted every offensive possession of the 4th quarter and and protected the 9-0 lead...but, noooooo, had to let Worley drop back so that he could get sacked and fumble to give Florida a short field. No chance Florida's offense would have driven the length of the field to score.

 

We didn't gameplan for the Trey Burton "take the snap and lumber forward" offense. It was like trying to stop a hurricane.

yep. Run the ball and go into the 4th quarter, up 9, and either 1st and 10 or 3rd and very short against a UF team on the verge of giving up. Instead Worley holds the ball and doesn't see the corner blitz. Game over. I got up and left. Had enough and felt what was coming. Just a horrible playcall and qb decision. I assume that's the game the kid came off the bench and ran on us from qb position to win the game. Seems like it was the only game he ever played at UF.

 

He was the starter after Will Greir got suspended. Looked like garbage then, too.

 

The Kentucky game when a WR at QB beat us is up there too.

Winning 3 games in 13 days, first team to ever do that at any level of football. And talk about focus amidst adversity, our kids didn't even know where or if they'd even be playing this game just a few days ago. Grit. Will to win.

 

Sewanee won 5 in 6 days on a 2500 mile road trip by train, but that was in the 19th century.
