The fact that Markey is the Senate sponsor on thisbmakes a lot of sense. I would say AOC has filled the gap Markey left in the house. I always felt he was too extreme but he has a place.

He gave a tour of the House to a group I was in about ten years ago. He took us down to the doors to the floor and caught a few folks who were coming off to talk to us and then took us up to the rotunda. He proceeded to give the best damn civics lesson I’ve ever had while pointing out various busts in the rotunda to aid in his storytelling. Was fantastic.

That's the stuff I like from her. It was brutally efficient and exposed, plainly, a major problem in our system.

She's getting a little too close to Trump Twitter territory, for me. Her tweets are a lot more substantive, for the most part, than Donnie's and provide some good dialogue, but she doesn't have to respond to every [uck fay]ing person who says something about her. They lack Trump's sophomoric insults and general stupidity, but it still reflects this age's stupid trash reality show nature.

 

We could've done something to curtail this along the way, though, as in not making corporations people or producing a Citizens United ruling. There are ways to make it a lot better.

 

Do you like Mike Braun at all? He is trying to do some of the same as a Republican.
